Our history

The usual ones, the lifelong ones

The farmhouse ‘Pastoretxe’, a nearly 300-year-old building with typical Basque architecture, transformed into Asador Arraiz by José Antonio Vaz and Mari Carmen Cabrera, from whom Iván has absorbed their passion for hospitality and cooking.

Since 1997, two generations of restaurateurs from the Vaz family have been managing the restaurant with their best know-how, masterfully combining the tradition inherited between the cookers and the latest innovation.
